Lugu Lake is a boundary lake between Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, shared by both provinces. The area around the lake is mainly inhabited by the Mosuo people, Yi ethnic group, and Pumi people.
The lake water is clear and blue, making it the highest lake in Yunnan and one of the deepest freshwater lakes in China, filled with mysterious colors.
Surrounded by towering mountains, the scenic area has more than three months of snow each year and is rich in forest resources, earning it the title of “Penglai Wonderland.”
Major attractions include the Goddess Ge Mu cable car, Xiaocaohai, and the three islands of Lugu, with the electric car tour around the lake being the most popular way to explore.
